Sarah has spent years following her ambitious husband from job to job. Now, he has asked her and their children of the impossible. Transfer one last time, this time to Mars. The plan is to start a colony, and they are to be some of the first transplants to this alien world. But it means leaving her family, her friends, indeed her whole life behind.
